Have an impressive roster of suits available to choose from was a big highlight in both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and (not that that was ever in doubt) that’s going to be the case in the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as well. In fact, not only will players have a variety of suits available, you will also be able to choose between different styles for most of those options.

The same was confirmed by creative director Bryan Intihar in a recent interview on the official Marvel website, where he revealed that the “majority” of suits in the game will have new customization options with the available of colour variants.

“That’s for the majority of our suits, we have these colour variants now, which is new to customization,” Intihar said. “So you actually get to unlock a suit, but then you also get the variants that we offer. So it’s definitely to make sure we go into things like Photo Mode and stuff like that. People are going to really have a lot of uniqueness too when they post stuff online.”

It remains to be seen what Intihar means precisely when he says the “majority” of suits will have variants available- for instance, will Peter’s Symbiote Suit be one of them?

Speaking of suits, it’s also been confirmed that the 10 unique suits included with the game’s Collector’s and Deluxe Editions are indeed going to be paywalled, as many feared, which means Standard Edition owners won’t be able to unlock them in the game itself.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches for PS5 on October 20.
