The 3DS refuses to die. Even six years into its life cycle, even after Nintendo have taken the industry by storm with the Switch, the 3DS continues to receive excellent support by both, third parties, and Nintendo themselves. Undoubtedly, among all the games that are still bound to launch for the handheld, the biggest release has to be Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. With the series making the switch to Nintendo’s latest hybrid system in 2018, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are the last Pokemon games we will ever see on the 3DS.

Here in this feature, we’re going to take a look at fifteen bits of vital information on Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon that are surely going to get you as excited for the game as we are. Without further ado, let’s get right into it.

NEW ULTRA BEASTS

Obviously, with every new Pokemon release, we expect Game Freak to introduce us to new kinds of Pokemon. That is going to be the case with Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon as well- more specifically, we’re going to see all new Ultra Beasts, the new kinds of Pokemon that first made their debut in Pokemon Sun and Moon. We know of three such Ultra Beasts so far, and though we don’t know their actual names, we do know the code names that they have been given- the Rock/Steel type UB Assembly, the Fire/Ghost type UB Burst, and the Poison type UB Adhesive. Whether there will be more new Ultra Beasts beyond just these three is something that remains to be seen.
