Terraria - 10th anniversary

Journey’s End may have been the so-called “last” update for Terraria (and was followed promptly by Journey’s Actual End) but Re-Logic is still at it. Update 1.4.4 is coming and called the Labor of Love Update due to the game winning in the “Labor of Love” category for the 2021 Steam Awards. The focus is to provide various balance changes and some new items, as revealed by ChippyGaming on YouTube.

Though many of the items are meant to be a surprise, Resplendent Dessert has been revealed. This essentially allows for summoning both of your Slime pets at the same time (and is based off of a fan suggestion). Various weapons like Scourge of the Corruptor, Dark Lance, Flairon, Frostbrand and Star Wrath have been buffed to deal more damage in specific ways. For instance, Star Wrath now allows for multiple stars to hit an enemy instead of one at a time.

Quality-of-life changes include Angler Quests having the chance to give an additional furniture drop (with the odds increasing as more Angler Quests are completed). A Plantera’s Bumb will also now spawn immediately once the three Mechs have been defeated. Another great change is that clicking on Eternia Crystal Stand can allow for skipping the wait time between waves when fighting the Old One’s Army.

Interestingly, once update 1.4.4 is wrapped, Re-Logic will be working on its second game. Stay tuned for more details in the future.
